Online isn’t always the cheapest If you are looking for cheap prices for flights best place to look is online, but don’t forget that there are some specials that only are available locally. As an example, if you live in a large city center start by looking in the major newspaper in your area. Even with all the online airlines and travel agencies those newspaper ads might be your best bet. The reason is that the local agencies make deals all the time with airlines, hotels, cruise ships, and car rentals. For your local area those might be your best bet. The only negative with the local agencies is that you are limited to their selection and their deals rather than potentially your dream destination. Today you’ll feel like you’re in first class if they bestow food for free! Cheap is great for pricing, bad for service. The main question you need to figure out is pricing vs. service. Easiest rule of thumb is that first class costs twice as much as economy class, a.k.a. cattle class. Business class is one and half the price of economy. Benefits you get with each vary depending not only on the class, but the airline. Best airlines globally are sometimes surprising. My personal favorite is Singapore Airlines. Economy flight attendants on Singapore are friendly, polite and bountiful (they have more flights attendants/passengers than almost any other airline).
